With chitinous armor, twitching antennae, and an insatiable appetite for iron, steel, and enchanted alloys, Rust Monsters are often the bane of overconfident adventurers. While not especially aggressive by nature, they are relentless when the scent of metal hits their senses — devouring weapons, armor, and pride in seconds. Dungeon masters know: it’s not the monster that kills the party — it’s the panic after it eats the tank’s +2 plate mail.
