The Purple Worm is not merely a creature — it is a calamity. A mountain of muscle, armored in chitin and driven by endless hunger, this monstrous leviathan tunnels blindly through the deep earth, consuming stone, soil, and anything unfortunate enough to be in its path. Cities have vanished in its wake. Armies have been swallowed whole.

With a mouth like a jagged abyss and a stinger large enough to impale a warhorse, the Purple Worm does not stalk prey — it creates opportunity for destruction with every thrash of its massive form. Its emergence is heralded by tremors, collapsing tunnels, and the terrible, echoing scream of stone being torn asunder. In the Underdark, even the bravest fear the silence between quakes.
